Welcome to the Align Blog!

· Job Planning,Delivery to demand matching cycle,Service Alignment

Welcome to the first post on the Staffing Science blog. Our goal is to post on matters to do with healthcare resource planning, demand forecasting, staffing and hospital performance. Guests contributions will also be invited from inside the NHS, industry experts and academics for their views on how best to align service delivery to patient demand.

Staffing Science was set up to give service leads and executives software designed to help them better plan and monitor their own service delivery and more closely match it to patient demand. The closer service delivery and consultant activity is matched to patient demand the better patient access is and the lower the aviodable costs of temporary capacity are. To achieve this Trusts need to implement a demand to delivery matching cycle that plans the required PAs, job plans the contractual PAs and analyses the delivered PAs.

We provide an alternative to home-grown spreadsheets or eye-wateringly expensive consultancy firms. Over the last three years, Staffing Science has provided one of the UK’s  most trusted and innovative healthcare consultancies, Kendall Bluck Consulting, with software models to underpin their evidence based, clinician led consultancy. Staffing Science is now making that software available to the Trusts themselves.

The ethos of Staffing Science is to deliver easy to use, cost effective software to help hospitals better plan their future performance and this blog will detail our thoughts on the latest research, news and issues to do with workforce and healthcare performance planning. We hope you enjoy the posts and feel free to comment.
